Vijayans Laboratory For Polymeric Biomaterials
Introduction
Vijayans Laboratory for Polymeric Biomaterials is located in the Biomedical Engineering Department of Alabama State University. The major activities of the lab focuses on the design and engineering of different polymeric biomaterials which includes but not limited to hydrogels, 3D printed polymer scaffolds, nanogels and polymer-nanoparticle composites. Some of the major research areas the lab is currently undertaken are development of surface patterned hydrogels for contact guidance, plasma surface modified lattice structure scaffolds for bone tissue engineering and development of hydrogel scaffolds with chondrogenic diffrentiation potential.
